Abstract
Temperature, soil condition and watertable position were manipulated to established their influences on emissions of CO:, CH4 and N:O from the surfaces of soil monoliths under laboratory columns experiment. Soil monoliths were collected from a cultivated (cabbage) and an adjacent fallow (herbs and shrubs) soils (Fluvaquolt) using core sampler and subjected to 4, 10, 20 and 30°C temperatures and adjustment of watertable position at 12 and 18 cm. Samples were collected initially (prior to start), after 1, 10, 45 and 90 days of incubation. The results showed significant (p<0.05) differences in the emissions of these gases under variable temperatures, watertable positions, soil cKeywords
