Abstract

First a brief historical revision of the development of the environmental engineering is performed. It analyze the different approach that has been adopted in the education of this discipline: compartmental model, ecosystematic model and instrumental model. In order to, finally, discuss the present necessities and the conceptual development that has taken place in the last years, that makes the educational model go towards what we can define as an advanced integrated model.
