Abstract
A design procedure is proposed to develop a miniaturized piezoelectric transducer based on an annular array structure. The first step consists in comparing different structures by using a time domain analysis of the corresponding radiated acoustic fields in an homogenous isotropic fluid, considering a uniform excitation displacement at the radiating surface of the transducer A finite element calculation is then performed for the selected transducer geometries to optimize their harmonic electrical respon
