Abstract
The results of experimental and theoretical analyzes of microstructure development during hot deformation of C-Mn and microalloyed steels are described. Particular emphasis is laid on modeling of the influence of the history of deformation on the recrystallization kinetics and mechanical properties. A general numerical framework is described for incorporation of the complex material behavior in a finite-element model of the plastic flow phenomenon. Finally, the constructed model is expanded to predict the final mechanical properties of the product and is integrated into the complete model of the hot compression and rolling processes. Predicted yield strength variations were analyzed basing on the microstructural changes. Th
