Abstract

The preliminary attempts to model mechanical properties of batch annealed rolled sheets have shown that the model concept for softening during annealing is reasonable. Model predictions of isothermal annealing agree very well with experimental data. For the present alloy (AA1050) it was sufficient to model an industrial batch annealing sequence (slow heating to temperature followed by 3 hours at temperature) without taking softening during heating to temperature into consideration.
