Abstract
This paper introduces a one-cycle controlled DC-DC boost converter operating in discontinuous mode The converter allows a 3.5V delivered by photovoltaic cells integrated on silicon to be converted into 30V with a simulated conversion efficiency of 78.4 per cent. The control technique used offers significant advantages in terms of fast dynamic response. rejection of line perturbation, sturdiness and automatic correction of switch errors. Control of the power DMOS is carried at 500kHz, the different stages of feedback control being achieved with a 1.2pm /?-well CMOS process over a total surface area of .3mm^. A theoretical analysis together with an electrical implementation of the one cycle control technique are described. 1 Introduction A few years ago, research est
