Abstract
This paper presents an implementation of the boundary element method for 3D time-harmonic elastodynamics with higher order continuous/dis- continuous elements. In order to avoid the strong apparent singularities of the dynamic kernels, the singular integrations are carried out employ- ing a decomposition of the dynamic fundamental solutions into their static counterparts plus regular series. The static fundamental solutions are then numerically evaluated using a technique appropriate to Cauchy principal value integrals for curved surface elements. Introduction The main objective of the present research work is the development of an advanced boundary element method formulation for frequency-domain elas- todynamics which has a
