Abstract
An iterative numerical procedure has been used to determine the equilibrium meniscus shape in a coreless induction melting furnace by coupling calculations of the meniscus shape with the electromagnetic field. The electromagnetic and force fields have been then calculated for the predicted equilibrium meniscus shape of the molten metal.
