Abstract
A new algorithm is discussed for the coupled analysis of lumped parameter circuits and electromagnetic fields in harmonic problems. Circuits and fields are studied separately with adequate techniques; the representing quantities are linked by means of connection matrices and a one-step final formulation is arrived at. A numerical example is shown, allowing to evaluate the effectiveness and the reliability of the method. 1 Introduction Standard formulation of magnetic field problems in electrical devices implies the knowledge, as input quantities, of the current densities in the conducting regions (Lowther & Silvester', Silvester & Ferrari?).
