Abstract
Predicting values of elastic constants of several types of polymeric composites, obtained by different methods, has reached such a degree of accuracy that in many cases results of such predictions may replace primary experimental work. This however is not the case when investigating strength parametrs of the composite, as these valuas are closely related to stress concentrations and thus to the spatial coordinates, when averaging techniques are not to be used. In such cases improvement in accuracy is of great value and this is the reason of the presented proposal for a numerical improvement of results. 1 Introduction Limiting interest to prediction of the values of elastic constants of a composite it is possible to list several methods of modelling techniques for this purpose -
