Abstract

The emissions of chlorinated hydrocarbons from the emission inventory in The Netherlands have been compared with the calculated emissions from measurements. The correlation was greatly improved by localizing and quantifying the emissions from metal cleaning and dry cleaning in small industrial enterprises. The results were introduced into a dispersion model calculation for the Rijnmond area. From the results of this calculation the exposure of inhabitants and employees in this area was evaluated. I.
