Abstract

On preferable location of a dewatering system in a sandy beach S.A. Chowdhury, M. Beach erosion of the world's shorelines is one of the major problems facing coastal engineers. Dewatering system is considered as a soft engineering system to control the beach erosion. By this system the water table under the beach surface to control the beach erosion. The drainpipe placing is one of the factors, which control the water table under the beach; the results indicate the location of the drainpipe for dewatering system performed better near the offshore.
