It is herein proposed by the authors for identifying the damage in masonry buildings. By using this experimental method, it has been possible to monitor the masonry structure of an historical building, "Casa Capello", located in the centre of the Rivoli Municipality (near Torino, Italy). This house, built on a pre-existing foundation of the 14* century, got its present aspect at the end of the 18* century, and has recently been the object of restoration and functional extension works.
