Kommunikations- und Navigationsnutzlasten, Germany Abstract The project "SATNAB" deals with the practicability to test the features of the European GNSS-2 under dynamic conditions before completion of the whole system. This is essential to estimate the system performance for mobile applications as in guided traffic. Positioning and locating tests in railways are possible with the signals of only one satellite, instead of 4, using a digital map. This method opens perspectives to increase significantly the availability of satellite location information in operational tasks. This paper deals with the concepts of location with one satellite, digital map assisted by a rubidium oscillator. A sensor system to determine the accuracy o
