Abstract
This paper briefly describes the objective of passenger transport terminals. A methodology is proposed whereby the economic benefits and costs of these facilities may be established. The paper outlines how benefits for passengers, the public transport operator, the subsidising authority, and the opportunity costs of supplying facilities can be determined. 1 Introduction The basic function of passenger transport terminals is helping to ensure that passenger access to transit services, the flow of passengers on transit services and transfer between modes occur in an efficient, convenient, comfortable and safe way.
