Abstract
Pavement Management Systems (PMS) are increasingly important tools for helping in decision-making processes regarding the maintenance and rehabilitation of road pavements. This paper presents a new mixed-integer optimisation model to be used within a PMS. The model allows segment-linked decisions, thus overcoming the principal drawback of the widely-used Arizona PMS.
