Abstract
Stockholm's first major airport was Bromma Airport, near the center of the city. However, growing demand for domestic and international air travel soon outgrew Bromma's capacity. Bromma now serves only limited do- mestic routes, and there have been calls to close the airport entirely. Most air travel demand is now served by Arlanda Airport. There exists sufficient demand throughout the region to justify a second major airport. However, the location of the new airport has not yet been determined.
