Abstract

Geometry of deploy able structures generated by computer-aided design J. Morales, J. Sanchez, F. Escrig School of Architecture, University of Seville, Spain SUMMARY. Mobile systems that change in geometry during the process of movement require to generate its form for each step of the working. When systems are composed by a few number of elements that are connected between them by hinges it is easy to stablish a relationship that refers mathematically one piece with respect the end of the precedent. But when we have assemblies of a lot of elements that must accomplish some restrictions, the mathematical formulation is very complicated and it is preferable to use a programming language that refers directly to graphics.
