Abstract
Analysis of reduced scale models of X-frame structures J. Sanchez*, F. Escrig*, J. P. Valcarcel* "School of Architecture, University of Seville, Spain ^School of Architecture, University of La Coruna, Spain SUMMARY. Although we have developed a computer programme capable of analyze X-frames of any geometry it is convenient in this kind of new systems to check it, not only in full scale when built, but also in the reduced scale to compare the possibility of changing dimensions mantaining the proportionality in stresses an deflections. We have constructed some models and have checked them. In this paper we diffusse the results of the corresponding parameters of a cuadrilateral X-frame of spherical geometry. The conclusions are not optimistic because there exists not a good relationship between computer analysis and physical model measures. But we think that it is covenient to publish also the failures.
