A very large illustration is given by the number of papers and books we can find in the literature. This paper is motivated by the performance of our version of Simulated Annealing and by the need expressed by people interested in optimization of mechanical systems. We first present shortly a powerful Simulated Annealing algorithm improved by a search technique, allowing to find the best minimum close to each current point. We give some examples of test functions minimized by this algorith
