Design engineers are and will be increasingly challenged by these conflicting objectives. Hence the need for techniques to quickly identify the best solution -i.e optimum design. An integrated approach is presented for the solution of the optimization problem: which is the optimal combination of design variables ensuring that specified objectives are reached while all constraints are satisfied?
