Abstract
An application of a street canyon model was carried out in Firenze. Estimations of carbon-monoxide (CO) concentrations due to road traffic were computed with an integration of traffic, emission, meteorological and dispersion models. Results were compared with hourly mean concentrations measured by one station of the local air quality monitoring network and a calibration procedure was performed. The result of this comparison demonstrates that the whole implemented system is a suitable simulation system for the prediction of CO concentrations in the urban area. 1. Introduction Street canyons are typical urb
