Abstract
The article presents a critical analysis of the results achieved in the study regarding the properties of the subsoil, the foundations and the evolution of the cracking phenomena occurring on the monument, enabling us to make plans concerning possible consolidation measures. 1 Introduction The complex dedicated to S. Vitale consists of several buildings more or less closely surrounding the basilica. This paper provides an analysis and describes the situation of the basilica alone. The basilica of S.
