Abstract

A recent work carried out by both the Borough and the University of Florence has stressed the importance of historical investigations and "in situ" measurements in the analysis of the structural damage occurred in some ancient monuments, like Palazzo Vecchio, which in the past were subjected to substantial structural changes.
