Abstract
This paper describes a large-domain application of the long-wave hydrodynamic model ADCIRC (ADvanced Three-Dimensional CIRCulation Model) to generate tropical and extratropical storm surge databases for use in developing input to external uncoupled numerical models which compute damage as a result of a propagating storm surge. An example application is presented in which the tropical and extratropical database time series are used to develop a corresponding database of vertical erosion values for various dredged material mound design alternatives. These damage values are used to develop
