Abstract
The boundary element method is applied to numerical simulation of the solidification of cast composite with particles. In particular, the control volume corresponding to the lead particle and its surroundings are analyzed. The BEM algorithm for non-homogeneous domains oriented in spherical co-ordinate system is supplemented by the numerical procedures taking into account the course of solidification and melting in sub-domains considered.
