Abstract
A sensitivity study of the transient groundwater flow using dual reciprocity boundary element method is presented. A confined aquifer square in plan, with a pumping well is considered as a typical model for the study. The aim of the sensitivity study is to determine the influence of various dual reciprocity boundary element model parameters on the accuracy of the solution and field parameters on the transient groundwater flow. Introduction Groundwater in recent years has been an important consideration in the water plans of many countries due to over exploitation and nonavailability of surface water. For the efficient management of the groundwater basins subject to pumping and recharge, it is necessary to analyze and predict the hydraulic response of the system using effe
