Abstract
This paper focuses on a boundary element implementation for the solution of heat and mass transfer equations. The approach is based on the use of truncated Fourier series as approximating functions for the dependent variable and its normal derivative. The pseudo-Fourier coefficients are computed by solving the boundary element matrix and theoretically converge to the real Fourier coefficients when the series tends to infinity. The method is presented in the first part of the paper, and numerical examples are presented to validate the approach in the second part of the paper. The efficiency of these trigonometric boundary
