Abstract
A two-dimensional numerical model for convection-diffusion flow of multi- gases mixture through a multi-layered porous medium was developed with the aim of being used for evaluation of emissions of gases from landfills. The proposed model is based on the Boundary Element - Dual Reciprocity Method. In order to obtain an optimal performance of the proposed numerical scheme a subdomain decomposition approach was implemented. The model was applied to the problem of venting channels.
