Abstract
Visual manipulation of input probability curves in stochastic simulation models of construction materials handling systems Z.B. Harun, G. Singh Department of Civil Engineering, University of ABSTRACT. A probabilistic approach using the Monte Carlo Simulation Technique is proposed for modelling construction materials handling systems. The stochastic simulation models are clearer in nature and can be driven by probabilistic as well as deterministic input. The approach is able to simulate systems with up to seven cyclic phases and three service points. This paper highlights the benefits of the visual manipulation facility provided by this software. Other interesting features of this simulation software are also described. The features of the input/output facilities are finally presented and discussed to prove the usefulness of the system developed. INTRODUCTION Since 1976, work has been going on in the Dept. of Civil Engineering, Leeds University, to stochastically model th
