Abstract

Integration of geochemical, geological and geophysical data from the Paqueiro mine area (PR-Brazil) with a CIS A.B. Macedo & A.C. Nunes da Silva Inst. Geociencias - Un. The area was studied for a revision of lead occurrences in the Ribeira Metallogenic Province. The main author directed the geochemical and geophysical surveys and used the data for a study on the use of CIS for prospecting survey interpretation. In the area occur metasediments from the middle to upper Precambrian, of terrigenous and carbonatic origin, intruded by Mesozoic diabase dykes. The Precambrian rocks are folded and faulted in the NE-SW to ENE-WSW directions, the main faults controlling the lead mineralizations. Geologic and topographic maps were digitized with the Tosca progr
