Abstract
A set of CIS-based procedures aimed at the estimate and analysis of areas subjected to hydrological risk have been coupled inside a computer program, called TAHR. For a given area TAHR, which is the acronym of Terrain Analyser for Hydrological Risk, only using raster terrain data (DTM) is able to determine a great amount of spatially distributed morphological, geo- morphological and hydrological information. This paper describes the main functional characteristics of this system which can be used both as numerical and graphic autonomous structure and as pre- processing of raster data to be used in other CIS packages for further analysis and display. 1 Introduction The study of environmental dynamics needs a distributed analysis which can be carried out only by means of computer systems capable of acquiring, managing and spatially elaborating a great amou
