Abstract

The introduction of technology in education seems promising; this is especially so for the new technologies of computer networks and hypermedia systems. However, only through experimentation the effectiveness of these technologies can be demonstrated. There is an ongoing project for this purpose, entitled EONT, partially funded by the European Union within the framework of the Socrates program. Seven Universities participate in this project and each one prepares instructional material for an on-line course to be delivered with the use of new technologies.
