Abstract
In the paper, the numerical model for simulation of the large geothermal reservoirs by Boundary-Domain Integral Method is presented. Heat transfer in the solids is governed by diffusion elliptic equation, while the heat transfer in the well is governed by one dimensional diffusion-convection transport equation in the field of constant velocity. Interaction between underground solid and well is taken into account through equilibrium boundary conditions. Numerical algorithm is developed for axisymmetric and 3D problems and is tested for the two practical examples. Introduction Increasing price of energy and some ecological aspects are two of the impor- tant reasons for searching of alternative energy sources. Geothermal energy, accumulated deep in the underground solid as warm water source, is one possibility of such alternative source. In the city of Maribor
