Abstract
Generalized heat conduction transfer functions in two dimensional linear systems of assigned geometry F. Marcotullio & A. Ponticiello Dipartimento di Energetica- Universitd di L 'Aquila Monteluco di Roio - 67100 L'Aquila, Italy ABSTRACT The present paper deals with the search for transfer functions valid for the whole class of object of an assigned two dimensional geometry. The basic criterion was to turn the governing conduction equation and the transient boundary conditions as well into dimensionless variables. The conclusion was that the same the TFs hold for all systems provided the Nusselt number (Nu) and the Fourier modulus (Fo) are equal. An appropriate TF's coefficients table has been set-up for the central and the corner points of a homogeneous solid square profile. The dimensionless time interval AFo was selected according to the sampling theorem, i.e. to the cut-off frequency of the system which depends on Nu. In addition, the Nu increment
