Abstract
A new approach to 2D non-steady thermal problems A. Wawrzynek Department of Civil Engineering, Silesian Technical University, P1-44-121 Gliwice, Poland ABSTRACT In the paper the generalization of the Rvachev's Fun- ctions Method (RFM) for spatial time domain is pre- sented and at the same time the heat transfer pro- cesses for 2D problems are discussed. The proposed algorithm and numerical results are verified by the solutions obtained on the basis of FDM. INTRODUCTION The classical analytical-numerical RFM consists in the construction of the function describing the do- main for which the problem is analyzed. This function is equal to zero only for the points belonging to the boundary of domain, it is positive only for the inte- rior of the considered area. Next, the so-called ge- neral structure of the solution (GSS) being a class of functions satisfying the boundary condition for successive parts of the boundary is constr
