R. ~ z e v e d o ~ I Universidade do Algarve, , Portugal ~niversidade da Madeira, Portugal Abstract In this paper, we present one efficient method applying the FFT (Fast Fourier Transform) algorithms to the computation of non-uniformly spaced antenna array factors, based on the Fourier relation between the array factor and its source distribution. As known, the conventional FFT algorithms are only used to compute the equi-spaced data. Thus, in order to apply them in the computation of non-uniformly spaced array factors, it is necessary to make some adaptation for the given array. In this paper, two techniques are presented. In the first, we use the grid in spatial domain to obtain equal spacing data. The element positions in the non-uniformly spaced array are set to another equi-spaced array with the smaller spacing.
