Abstract In this communication the FDTD-FETD-MoMTD and the ADI-FDTDIMoMTD time-domain hybrid techniques are applied to analyze electromagnetic problems involving the transient excitation of thin-wire antennas located in the vicinity of arbitrary objects. The methods combine the ability of the FDTD to deal with arbitrary material properties, the versatility of the FETD to accurately model curved geometries, that of the MoMTD to analyze thm-wire structures, or that of the ADI-FDTD formulation of not imposing conditions on the duration of the temporal interval. The algorithms that connect the different techniques are described and representative numerical results are discussed. 1 Introduction Time-domain numerical techniq
