Abstract
The paper approaches the multi-objective design problem of composite laminated structures. Pre-buckling stiffness, critical buckling load and initial post-buckling stiffness are design objectives to be simultaneously fulfilled, in order to achieve optimal design of the structure in different load ranges. The assumed design variables are the fiber orientations of the plies in the stacking sequence of the laminate. A solution procedure, based on Evolution Strategies and a Game-theory approach, is presented and applied to rectangular flat plates under biaxial loading in different loading conditions. The results obtained have been compared with those obtained by single objective optimization and show the efficienc
