Abstract
New nanocomposite structure in Fe-M-B (M = Zr, Hf, Nb) and Fe-M-O (M = Zr, Hf, rare earth) systems has been fabricated by use of partial crystallization of melt-spun amorphous phase and sputtering-induced partial crystallization, re- spectively. The Fe-M-B ribbons exhibit high magnetic flux density more than 1.5 T and good soft magnetic properties. On the other hand, the Fe-M-O films show high permeability at high frequency above 100 MHz because of their much higher electrical resistively than those of other conventional soft magnetic alloy films. These materials have a mixed structure of nanoscale a-Fe grains and
