Abstract
Study on the improvement of physical properties by CC>2 laser heat-treatment M. Hasegawa, Y. Konishi, M. Nunobiki Department of Mechanical Engineering, Himeji Institute of Technology, 2167 Shosha, Himeji, ABSTRACT This paper provides CO% laser heat- treatment technique to synthesize a ceramic high-temperature superconductor. Laser heat- treatment can reduce the manufacturing time in comparison with an electrical furnace heat- treatment. Laser processing is very quick and convenient to heat-treat. Therefore, both an improvement of physical properties and an achievement of a quick manufacturing can be realized with the proposed laser heat- treatment technique. The availability of this proposed technique is confirmed through experiments which use Y-Ba-Cu-O superconductor.
