Abstract
A theoretical investigation of mixed convection is presented for laminar, periodically fully-developed flow in a channel with fin array. The effects of Reynolds number, Grashof number, Prandtl number, fin pitch and height, and angle of channel inclination are assessed. The overall Nusselt number over each of the two walls is correlated with the physical and geometric parameters. Introduction Convective heat transfer through a channel between parallel plates has many practical applications, including heat exchangers, electronic equipment, nuclear reactors and other thermal devices.
