Abstract
The experiences of recent years have confirmed that the evaluation of the risk resting on zones affected by land movements and alterations and the timely organisation of suitable measures to prevent or restrain the damage become all the more successful as the knowledge of the geometry of the surfaces, as well as a prompt evaluation of its modifications, becomes more accurate. The paper aims at presenting an automatic integrated procedure for the set up of virtual 3D models of external sites affected by landslides, subsidence and other hydro-geological alterations. Such models might be used as dimensional, structural and morphological databases for controlling and monitoring the acquirable data and for simulating possible destabilizing effects on architectural and infr
