Abstract
This paper proposes an Interactive Model for Urban Management (IMUM). By means of its implementation, the inhabitants organized at the municipal level interact in the decision making that affect the habitable spaces of their city - along with decision agents from the Municipal Government, Intermediate Institutions, investors, developers and real estate dealers. The IMUM is a participatory model that allows inhabitants and other mentioned agents to understand what is happening and to establish what should be happening in the living scenarios of their city - the latter standing as an organism of permanent evolution. Moreover, it institutionalises the responsible participation of all in the improvement of the quality of urban life and the public realm, heightening the inhabitants' hierarchy. The IMUM
