Tourlou* * Aristotle University Thessaloniki, 540 06 Thessaloniki, Greece ^ENVECOS.A., Perikleous 1, 151 22Marousi, Greece Introduction The impact of all public works currently under construction in Athens on air pollution levels was analysed in the framework of the "Athens 2004 Air Quality Study" (Moussiopoulos and Papagrigoriou, 1997; Moussiopoulos et al, 1999). Simulations were performed for three different meteorological cases with various dispersion models. The comparative study of all model results indicated that air quality will be significantly improved in Athens by 2004 (ibid).
