Abstract
The Application of Mesoscale Modelling of Atmospheric Pollution for Decisions of Ecological and Economic Problems in Some Regions of Russia A contribution to subproject GLOREAM V.K. Kouznetsov, V.B. Kisselev and I A Morozova SRI Atmosphere, Karbysheva str.,7, 194021, St. Petersburg, Russia Introduction At present atmospheric pollution due to anthropogenic emissions is of a global nature. It exerts negative effect both on people's health and on the state of the natural ecosystems throughout the world. At the same time spatial distribution of large emission sources is of localised character. The deposition of pollutants on the surface takes place both near these sources and far from them. The degree of pollutant influence on the state of ecosystems is conditioned by the tolerance of ecosystems to atmospheric pollution which varies over a wide range. So for every region there are external depositions conditioned by emission sources
