Abstract
Comparability of Measured and Modelled Concentrations of Secondary Air Pollutants A contribution to subproject GLOREAM Stefan Tilmes, Jorg Zimmermann, Jurgen RiBmann and Ingo Jacobsen Deutscher Wetterdienst, Kaiserleistrafle 42, D-63067 Offenbach, Germany Introduction Within the German Tropospheric Research Programme (TFS) the Deutscher Wetterdienst (DWD) is involved in the development of an evaluated model system for the simulation of the tropospheric chemistry and transport (Riiimann et al., 1998). Apart from arranging the model system to be applicable for operational ozone forecasting the second focus is the investigation on the comparability of measured and modelled concentrations of secondary air pollutants. In this sense as a first step this contribution presents results of a principal component analysis (PCA) of ground level ozone observations. A correlation analysis of the amplitude time serie
