Abstract
Field Measurements and Validation of Micro and Meso Scale Flow and Distribution Models Guest contribution W Jaeschke and J. von Trtimbach Zentrum fur Umweltforschung, Johann Wolfgang Goethe - University Frankfurt, Georg-Voigt-Strafie 14, D-60325 Frankfurt am Main, Germany Validation of two different scale models were undertaken. The high resolution micro scale model MISCAM (Micro Scale pollutant Air distribution Model) was utilised for case studies at tunnel exits for an area of 90 x 70 m. The meso scale area was covered using the model CLIMM (CLima Model Mainz). Simulations were made for a 10 x 10 km region of the Taunus mountains, western Germany, with a sophisticated topography. The MISCAM simulation shows maximum deviations from measurements of < 60 % at tunnel exits. The CLIMM simulation results are of the same order of magnitude.
