Abstract
The Sensitivity of Photo-Oxidant Production to Recent Changes in Rate Constants A contribution to subproject CMD B Vogel, H Vogel and F. Fiedler Institut fiir Meteorologie und Klimaforschung, Forschungszentrum Karlsruhe GmbH, Universitat Karlsruhe, Postfach 3640, D-76021 Karlsruhe, Germany Introduction Experimental work is necessary to study the ongoing reactions, to identify reaction products, and to determine rate constants. However in the laboratory only well defined mixtures and concentration levels are treated under well defined ambient conditions. Numerical simulations are necessary to study the importance of a reaction in the real atmosphere where a large variety of concentration levels and ambient conditions exists. Box-model runs with RADM2 (Stockwell et al., 1990) were carried out with different amounts of NO emissions to study the sensitivity of the ozone production to recent updates of the rate
