Abstract
Evaluation of VOC Emissions in Europe A contribution to subproject GLOREAM Sverre Solberg* and Anne Lindskog^ ^Norwegian Institute for Air Research, P.O. Box 100, N-2007Kjeller, Norway ^Swedish Environmental Research Institute, P.O. Box 47086, S-40258 Goteborg, Sweden This work presents preliminary results from an evaluation of regional scale VOC emissions in Europe based on monitoring data, as well as trajectory statistics and model calculations. Several years of monitoring data of speciated VOCs from background sites in Europe are used, taken from the EMEP and EUROTRAC TOR programmes, 1992 (Solberg et at., 1996). In conduction with these, a photochemical trajectory model (the EMEP oxidant model) has been run for several years for individual VOCs.
